International Women’s Day Q&A with Delphine Breyne

For International Women’s Day, we wanted to share some insights from Delphine Breyne, founder of Delphine Eyebrow Couture and En Rose Paris, to discuss her thoughts on this special day and her experiences as a successful female entrepreneur in the business world.

How will you celebrate International Women’s Day?

Delphine: I plan to spread love and positivity by wishing every woman I know a happy day and reminding them of their beauty. In French culture, we often don't compliment each other, but on this day, I'll go the extra mile, extending compliments even to strangers. I want to tell every woman I see, “You are so beautiful!”  Everyone is always so concerned about their flaws, but those little things shouldn’t matter, you are pretty. I want to boost your confidence and make sure everyone feels loved and appreciated.

Who is a woman you admire, and why?

Delphine: Oprah Winfrey is someone I admire. She's strong, grounded, and knows who she is. She is focused on kindness and doing the right thing, that resonates with me. Oprah is not just an entrepreneur; she leaves a lasting impact in the world by making the people around her feel loved. Her spiritual speeches help me understand myself better, which gives me the confidence to say what I want, do what I want, wear what I want and not care about what other people think. It gives me freedom to express who I am.

What was a challenge you faced in the past for being a woman?

Delphine: It is challenging to be taken seriously as a woman in business, especially when you are attractive. People often assume you lack intelligence and have nothing to offer. They are surprised when they actually hear what I have to say. As a woman, you have to prove yourself all the time . You just have to keep going, keep proving that your idea is good, you’re capable, and you’re worth it. You have to do more than if you were a man. When you believe strongly in yourself and your vision, no one can move you. Your confidence needs to be unshakeable. You have to know you can make it and others will start seeing it too.

What positive change do you hope to see for women in the near future?

Delphine: I hope to witness a positive shift where women feel more confident and care less about others' opinions. Focus on self-improvement, understanding who you are, what is your purpose, and staying grounded. Not care what others think because the world is going to push you around. Like a tree in a storm, external influences may try to move you, but you can stay centered to keep you strong.

What advice do you have for other women who want to start their own business?

Delphine: Never give up! Always believe in yourself and keep going because after the dark, there is light. Always look forward to the next step and work towards finding the solution. If you don’t take action you’ll never know what could have been. And if you fail, you’ll learn something. Challenges are opportunities for growth. Meditate regularly, focus on one thing at a time, and surround yourself with the right people who believe in you.

How do you support and encourage other female entrepreneurs?

Delphine: I help others who ask me for help and advice. I know it is very challenging to start a business. You’re always questioning yourself, “Can I make it? Can I do it?” The answer is yes. Anything is possible.

Celebrating Strength and Empowerment

We hope you take the time to celebrate women on March 8. We encourage you to embrace your beauty, be confidence, face challenges with resilience, and support each other on your entrepreneurial journeys. Remember that anything is possible and believing in yourself is the first step towards success.

Happy International Women's Day to you all!
