There are moments in life that invite you to pause and reflect.
During the 2026 Cannes Film Festival, I had the privilege of joining Cecile Liconnet on the Living the Dream: Women, Work and Relocation podcast to share a story I've rarely told in its entirety.
While I was in Cannes introducing Heal avec Delphine, my documentary series about beauty restoration, identity, and healing, this conversation became an opportunity to look back at the path that brought me here.
From France to New York: Starting Over
Many people know me through Delphine Eyebrow Couture, but few know what happened before the atelier opened.
I left France with two suitcases.
I learned English from the beginning.
I lost a visa sponsor when my paperwork was nearly complete.
I started over more than once.
There were countless moments when it would have been easier to give up.
When Beauty Became Something More
What began as a passion for creating natural, conservative eyebrows gradually became something much deeper.

Today, many of the women who sit in my chair are navigating cancer, chemotherapy, alopecia, trichotillomania, scars, or other life experiences that have changed how they see themselves.
My work is not just about creating eyebrows. It is about helping someone recognize themselves again.
Creating a space where they feel understood, supported, and confident enough to begin a new chapter.
That philosophy has become the foundation of Delphine Eyebrow Couture and the inspiration behind Heal avec Delphine.
Recorded During the Cannes Film Festival
This episode was recorded during an unforgettable week at the Cannes Film Festival, where I was meeting with producers and industry leaders to introduce Heal avec Delphine.
Between meetings along the Croisette, Cecile and I sat down for an honest conversation about courage, reinvention, entrepreneurship, immigration, and discovering purpose through helping others.

Grateful for This Conversation
Merci to Cecile Liconnet and the Living the Dream podcast for creating a space where women can openly share the realities of rebuilding their lives and pursuing meaningful work across borders.
I hope this conversation encourages anyone standing at the beginning of their own journey to trust that even when doors close, new ones can open in ways you never imagined.
With love,
Delphine
