When Kim looked in the mirror during cancer treatment, she barely recognized the woman staring back. A beloved teacher from California, Kim was used to showing up strong for her students, her family, her community. But breast cancer changed everything.
After her annual mammogram revealed an unexpected diagnosis, Kim quickly found herself undergoing surgery, chemo, and radiation. The physical changes hit hard.
Losing all my hair... it felt like the outside didn’t match the healing I was trying to do on the inside.

As she faced treatment, she was also carrying the emotional weight of losing her mom and her husband’s mom. An added layer of grief that made her healing even more profound.
Still, Kim refused to let cancer or loss define her. She came to Heal avec Delphine in search of something more than beauty. She wanted to reconnect with herself, her confidence, her identity, the face she remembered.
The moment she saw her restored eyebrows, something shifted. “I just want to go home and look in the mirror!” she beamed.
I thought it would take some getting used to, but it just looks like me from before. Sometimes I get up in the morning and forget I have eyebrows again, then look in the mirror and smile.
Kim's transformation was more than skin deep. It was a quiet reclaiming of self—a return to joy, to lightness, to being seen.
